Cheap car hire in Spain- see el mar with your rental car.
by Karl Bantleman
On arrival in Spain, you will more than likely be approached by various agents offering you trips and excursions. These are great to take part in but a better idea is to hire your own car and travel around, this allows you to take your time admiring the beautiful sights of Spain.
The north of Spain is renowned for its heritage and there is more tradition in the North. The Basque country, Cantabria and Castile and Leon are all areas in the north definitely worth visiting. In Pamplona, the running of the bulls takes place and is a must see if you are in the region on the 6th July when it all begins. With all the tradition in the north of Spain, it is clear why car hire would be the best option to get around. As well as sightseeing, for the sport fans there is the Nou Camp of Barcelona Football Club, and is a great place for all sports fans to visit. The Northern airports are Santander and Asturias and the low cost airlines use them which means cheap flights are definitely available.
The weather, on the other hand, is a different matter. In the south, the weather is normally considerably warmer than their northern counterparts. Cheap car hire in Spain in Spain has been very popular in the south in recent years and with cities such as Valencia, Seville and Murcia rich in tradition, the South of Spain has got a lot to offer all visitors. Then there are the popular Canary Islands and Balearic Islands where many British tourists visit for the sun and sea.
Don't forget the capital, situated in the centre of Spain, Madrid is a must see and offers so much to its visitors with a mix of culture and modern day lifestyle, your car hire can take you around the one of the most beautiful cities in Europe.
With many different sights to see, now is a great time to visit Spain. Don't forget your car hire though to make the trip extra special. For the best deals on cheap car hire , shop online and compare the various offers at the click of a button.

Car Hire Murcia For Travel Freedom
Car Hire Murcia For Travel Freedom
by Clinton Maxwell
Being able to travel at your own pace is easy. There are a number of companies that offer car hire in Murcia or even better, right at the airport as you travel into Spain. San Javier Airport is at the northern shore of Mar Menor. Because of an increase in tourists to the area, there has been a lot of growth at the airport to handle an increase in tourists. With the increased tourists numbers, there are also more car hire companies in business that are ready to rent you a vehicle that you can use to travel to Torrevieja and beyond.
Finding a car hire in Murcia
The first consideration is the vehicle size. How many people are in your traveling party? If there are only one or two of you, you should consider a smaller, economy car that will be a cheaper rental or offer better gas mileage. But if there are a number of people in your party, you need to consider a larger vehicle where everyone can fit comfortably.
When you rent a car, you must consider the insurance necessary to cover anything that would go wrong. If your personal insurance covers your driving abroad you could save money on paying for insurance. Check with your policy, and also your credit card company, some of them offer coverage when you are traveling.
The earlier you book your car, the more variety you will get in choosing which vehicle you want to drive, and likely you will also get a better price. Prices go up the closer to travel time you book. In addition, if you are going to travel in the peak summer season, there may not be any more cars available.
Before a car hire company will let you take off with one of their vehicles, they will expect to see some paperwork. You will need to show a drivers license and proof of insurance. They will also likely want a credit card to have on file. Some companies only accept certain cards or drivers over a particular age. Check before you go.
Make sure the car is in good working order. Before you leave the company's office you should give the car a good look over. If there is any damage to the car, even a scratch or dent, you need to make sure to make a note of this with one of the employees of the company. This damage should all be written down on the rental agreement so you do not get blamed for any of those problems when the car returns.
Comparing Car Hire Companies
Car hire company rates can be very different from one location to the next. When you are getting price quotes make sure the final price you are being given includes all the taxes, fees and extras so you are not suddenly hit with extra charges you were not prepared to pay for.
If at all possible, get a confirmation number with the price agreement in writing so the price does not change once you arrive.

Car Hire - Driving in Southern Africa
Car Hire - Driving in Southern Africa
by David Collins
With a wide range of national parks and open plains, the southern plateaus of Africa attract thousands of tourists eager to catch glimpses of rare and dangerous creatures on safari tours.
But there are also a variety of different routes for those looking to head off the beaten path and explore more of the continents' picturesque and unpredictable landscape.
Fly-drive and self-drive packages to countries such as Namibia, Botswana and South Africa are widely available. Flights and car rental are usually included in the price, but it's always best to double check. Such tours can take you through national parks to scenic coastal drives.
Such tours usually fly to cities such as Cape Town and Windhoek, with a set itinerary for the journey - such trips are usually spread around a timescale - usually a fortnight - so you can make best use of your car hire service.
For those wanting to embark on fly-drive holidays, the time you are on the road varies depending on the itinerary you select - although such timescales are usually provided as guides, giving you the freedom to choose what to see and do along the way to your stop for the night.
As well as the vast countryside and variety of wildlife on the open plains and plateaus, safari tours can be included along the route - usually involving stopovers in national parks or game reserves.
Accommodation can vary from tour to tour, there are a number of reserves along the way which include basic hotel facilities, as well as the opportunity to camp under the night sky, listening to the sounds of the night wildlife passing through camp.
Be wary however, for many of the stops along the way operate a camping-only basis, although many packages offer hire of equipment as well as car rental.

Car Hire Travel Kenya; The Best Choice For Budget Travel
Car Hire Travel Kenya; The Best Choice For Budget Travel
by Josephine Muchiri
There are quite a number of Car Hire Companies in Kenya. Most of these Companies are consentrated in Nairobi and Mombasa, incidentally these towns are one of the major tourist hubs in Africa. You can hire anything from a Toyata Land cruiser 4WD, Toyata RAV4 to 2WD drive Cars. These car hire companies will have bronchures indicating their prefered vehicle rates which will range from $50to $200 per day depending on the number of days you would wish to take the vehicle.
When hiring vehicles, be sure to be conversant with their terms and conditions. Normal hire terms should be rated per day, with unlimited milieage which is the best arrangement, collision damage waiver, theft protection and inclusive of applicable taxes which are charged at 16% of the amount that you agree to pay for hire. You should also enquire into the Super Colision Damage Waiver which in Kenya ranges from $100 to $600 depending on the arrangement.
Currently the Kenya Government is doing a major reconstruction and rehabilitation of the major highways which previously were in a sorry state. So Driving along the highways should not present a major problem. The story is completely different when you decide to venture into the countryside and into the parks. The roads are in such a poor state that even driving 4WDs through them is a challenge. You will constantly have to avoid gullies and potholes dug by speeding rainwater. This Scenario makes the car hire companies charge one of the highest rates in the world in order to keep their vehicles well maintained and in good condition.
Driving in Kenya can be a nightmare sometimes, especially if you come from USA. Vehicles in Kenya "keep Left" but it would not be uncommon to find drunken drivers and passenger drivers "matatus" taking your lane once in a while. In order to enjoy your Safari, it would be prudent to take a driver from the car hire company.
Of Late the country has had a problem with security. Even though we appreciate the governments' efforts to curb gangster crime, it would be advisable to take the necessary precautions to avoid being waylaid. Avoid as much as possibe not to drive in the night unless it is an absolute emergency. Do not pick passengers on the roads, they might empty your car with impunity.
The list of the cars available for hire is not exhaustive and is only limited to the amount of money that you want to spend. You can have a Mitsubishi Lancer, Toyota 110 or Similar 2 Wheel Automatic. The Four wheel drive vehicles range from the Mitsubishi Pajero, Toyota Safari Landcruiser 4WD, Toyota Prado and Toyota RAV 4. For those travelling in groups, a 25 Seater bus or a custom 9 seater tour van can be readily arranged but the buses must be driven by the car hire company driver and mechanic.
With the car of your choice in your possession, you can now go out and enjoy the Scenic Kenyan beauty, the Wildlife and the Kenyan culture. You couldnt be better equiped!

How to select a good car rental when travelling around New Zealand
How to select a good car rental when travelling around New Zealand
by Tim Alpe
When it comes to hiring a car for travelling around a country, it poses a complex set of problems as the rules are very different for different countries. If you are looking to travel around New Zealand in a rental car, we have highlighted below a few helpful points that will give you a good idea of what to expect when you hire a car in New Zealand.
* Make sure the vehicle is reliable by checking to see if the rental company includes 24 hour AA (Automobile Association) roadside assistance.
* Make sure that the car you are looking to book meets your needs. Contact the supplier to make sure that the cars that they have on fleet will suit what you are looking for as there are a range of different cars on the market to suit different budgets, number of travellers and luxury levels.
* If you are under 21 years old it is VERY important to make sure that the company you are looking to hire through will accept you as a driver. Most companies will have a minimum age of 21 years to hire a vehicle. Make sure you contact the company to make sure that you can hire through them and if there are any surcharges etc
* Make sure that you are clear on what the rate you are paying per day includes. If you contact the supplier they will be able to tell you what is included and what is excluded.
* If you have a baby check to make sure that a baby seat can be fitted in the vehicle that you are hiring. Most rental companies will also have baby seats to hire. * Make sure that you know the size of vehicle you are looking for. Be clear on what you would like to hire.
* If you are travelling to both the North and South Island make sure that you are aware of the companies policy on the ferry crossing between Islands. Some companies have depots on either side (in Wellington and Picton) where some companies do not so you need to take the vehicle on the ferry. It is known that it is easier to just drive your vehicle onto the ferry and off on the other side instead of changing vehicles, transferring luggage and doing new contacts etc.
At Ezy, we ensure that you, our valued customer, is provided with every available advantage in enjoying your trip around New Zealand by car. The highlights of our car hire service are:
* Ezy has this as well as a 24 hour replacement vehicle policy if the vehicle cannot be repaired within 24 hours where we will deliver a new vehicle within 24 hours
* Ezy is a fully registered member of AA (Automobile Association)
* Ezy Cars are mainly 2nd tier with great rates to reflect this. They also offer a few 1st tier vehicles to meet certain clients needs
* Ezy Rentals hires to 18 years+. The rates do not change, the insurance excess is just slightly higher

* Ezy Rentals offer a rate of vehicles that have baby bolts fitted so baby seats can be fitted securely and safely. Ezy also offers a range of 3 different sized baby seats & boosters to make sure the size is correct for the child.
* Ezy Rentals offers a range of vehicles from small hatchbacks through to large sedans, station wagons and people movers
* With Ezy Rentals you must take the vehicle across on the ferry as we do not have offices either side. This is more convenient for the client and Ezy rentals offers discounted rates on the ferries for their clients

Rent A Car And Tour Cape Town
Rent A Car And Tour Cape Town
by Dee Rheeder
Visiting South Africa's Mother City? Take it from a local - you're going to need an independent set of wheels. When you're on holiday in this city the sites are scattered far and wide, and you don't want to miss out on anything special simply because you haven't got your own transport. Cape Town car hire is an imperative part of planning your vacation, right up there with accommodation.
Renting a car in Cape Town is not difficult but you need to book in advance if possible as this place gets ultra busy when the end of year party season and the heat of summer collide.
You may want to collect your hired car at Cape Town International Airport when you land so as to avoid costly shuttle fees. We advise you have a map and directions to your hotel at hand. Cape Town city centre, the V&A Waterfront and the Atlantic Seaboard are the most popular accommodation locations, and all are within 25 to 35 minutes drive of the airport.
Once you've settled in, unpacked and enjoyed perhaps a few hours relaxing while taking in spectacular sea and mountain views that are to be found from most good establishments, you'll be ready to start your explorations of the city.
Cape Town's best known landmark is Table Mountain - a pleasant drive to the cable car station precedes a ride to the top of this geographical icon, from the top of which extensive views of the city and beyond can be enjoyed.
On another day, relax in the comfort of your air conditioned rented car and take a scenic drive along the Atlantic Seaboard, past the renowned beaches of Camps Bay and Clifton, to Hout Bay - a picturesque fishing village. Enjoy a delectable lunch at the Marina before continuing your drive along the world famous Chapman's Peak drive at a leisurely pace, stopping as often as you wish to take photographs of the spectacular scenery - something you can only do when you're traveling under your own steam.
The drive takes you to the long white beach from Noordhoek to Kommetjie, then around past Scarborough to Cape Point Nature Reserve where you can easily spend many hours hiking, swimming or just admiring the indigenous flora and fauna.
One must-take-trip for visitors to Cape Town is to the Cape Winelands. Once again, while tours have their place, nothing can beat the freedom of exploring smaller wine farms, stopping for lunch wherever you wish on the spur of the moment and lingering among the vines between wine tastings as long as you desire.
Do yourself a favour and organize your Cape Town car hire as a number one priority - you won't regret it for an instant.
With the 2010 World Cup Soccer just a few years away, many tourists are enjoying coming to Cape Town to explore the beautiful city. The number one choice to tour is by Car . There are so many lovely places just minutes away , from beaches to winelands and even nature reserves.

Antique Car Rentals Are A Possibility For Those That Choose Them
Antique Car Rentals Are A Possibility For Those That Choose Them
by Charlie Reese
Driving an antique car rental was one of the scariest experiences of my life. Have you ever stood on a trail on the edge of a cliff? You know there is very little chance that you will fall - how often, after all, do you suddenly fall for no reason. Nevertheless, no matter how much you try to convince yourself, you are scared to death of falling. Antique car rentals are kind of like that. I have not been in an accident in years, but as soon as I was renting vintage cars, I was suddenly frightened of every driver that I saw. I couldn't even trust myself!
The antique car rental was not my idea at all. It was actually for a movie that a good friend of mine was doing. He is not very well connected, but he is extremely well-funded. He took a sizable inheritance and turned it into a fortune through his own clever financial skills. After that, he got frivolous. He decided that he wanted to be a filmmaker, and invested huge amounts of money in failed project after failed project. This one was going to be his big one, and I was along for the ride.
I have to admit that one of the main reasons that I was involved in this scheme was for the chance to drive the antique rental car. It was a beauty. I don't know that much about classic car sales, but I know a beautiful automobile when I see one. This was a huge, old Mustang. It was big as a boat and twice as luxurious. The antique car rental cost an arm and a leg, but it was pennies compared to what he was going to spend on the film as a whole. As I was the only sane one in the crew, I was nominated to drive the car. I though I was up for the challenge.
Nonetheless, once I got behind the wheel of that antique automobile rental, I was so scared of crashing it that I couldn't do the driving right. I didn't have the right flare, you see. I took the turns too slowly and made my way to cautiously. I was supposed to be an a young, rebellious kid out for a cruise. Instead, I drove like a granny. Nonetheless, after an afternoon of that, I finally loosened up. We got the take we needed, drove the car back, and went out for a steak dinner. All in all, it was a good day shooting.

Nantes city is the sixth largest in France. It is a city in western France, located on the Loire River. The quality of life surveys it the best city in France in which to live. Nantes has been made a major economic development centre. In the late 20th century, air, road, and rail communications were being extended, and vast industrial zones was being built.
Nantes is also known for its crepes. The Passage Pommeraye which is a small shopping mall is located by the river. It is a small passageway between two streets that has been turned into a highly impressive shopping centre. It is named after its developer, Louis Pommeraye. The building took three years and was completed in 1843. It is covered with a glass ceiling and consists of three levels of shopping galleries. But the Rue Crebillon is the main street to shop.
Many pubs and cafes with live music can be found around the city centre. Nantes bars and pubs are mainly concentrated around the place du Pilori place du Bouffay, and rue Kervagen.
The city has blossomed into a regional gay and lesbian capital boasting a surprisingly large number of restaurants, dance clubs, gay bars, and shops, as well as a gay film festival, a sauna, and several gay and lesbian associations.
Nantes is the proud birth place of the world famous Jules Verne who wrote the classic science fiction stories of Around the World in Eighty Days and Journey to the Centre of the Earth The museum is full with memorabilia and is a gathering place for his many admiring fans.
Nantes is about 30-45 minutes from the beach. If you are there at the right time of the year probably no earlier than May or June feel free to take a day trip to La Baule. La Baule's has five miles of white sandy beach provides the perfect place and a superb promenade.
From the square of the Castle of Nantes you can enter the castle. The castle of Nantes, was built in 1466 until 1491. You can walk around the walls of the castle, the main square inside the castle and visit rooms inside the castle and go into the Salorge museum. It features magnificent towers, impressive moats and fascinating museums displaying information on art, culture and local history. Much of its interior was redone in 1466 by Froancois II, Duke of Britanny.

Important Factors To Consider When Operating A Limousine Rental Business
Important Factors To Consider When Operating A Limousine Rental Business
by Vanessa Doctor
With the tourism industry booming, and an increase is seen in the need for hiring private luxury vehicles to serve many occasions or events, many new limousine rental operators have been noted to set up shop these days, and most industry analysts note that despite the current slowdown brought about by the slump in the domestic housing markets as well as the credit crunch, limousine companies still continue to flourish and thrive.
Succeeding in operating a limousine rental busienss, requires considering many pertinent aspects, since these types of businesses could be quite capital-intensive sometimes.
What Should Be In A Limousine Service Contract
When you do have a contract with a potential client, which happens quite often, especially with prom kids, is that they are for example, a group of twenty persons, and they want to rent a large SUV limo or a Hummer. A week or so before the event, the twenty people have dwindled down to seven or eight, and they tell you that they cant afford the limo that they wish to rent, but they already did put a deposit a week or month earlier. Now, they're asking for a refund of the deposit because they can't afford renting the vehicle anymore.
In this scenario, it's important to have their parents sign the initial contract and make it very clear that the deposit is non-refundable, or else they should need to give the rental firm at least thirty days notice to get a different size vehicle. You need to make sure that your clients fully read the contract details, before they sign up for your services.
How About Rental Services for Funerals?
This is considered steady work, as unfortunately people die on a regular basis. You need to know that dealing with funeral directors could be quite tough, as these people are very meticulous folks. They will as k that your chauffeur needs to be in a solid black suit, a pressed white shirt, solid black tie.
Usually they do like chauffeurs caps, and the vehicle has to be an immaculate, black stretch limousine most often. This stuff is usually low-key yet profitable work, and typically Monday to Friday, and once in a while there will be a Saturday or Sunday funeral service, which usually starts at 8:00 in the morning and is relatively done by early afternoon.
How Should You Price Your Rental Services
This is a good aspect to ponder on. A lot of business owners have hired accountants and financial analysts and computed the formulas on what should be properly charged; however it really comes down to what the market will bear. As you will try to get as much as we can, however you can't overprice your service, or your vehicles will be sitting idly on your yard.
And you should also try to use a strategy like the ones used in the airline and hotel industry, where when its busy their rates are higher, and when its slow the rates are quite lower. So the rates would basically depend on what the market will bear at the time.
Effective Ways Of Marketing and Advertising a Limo Rental Service
The aspect of marketing a limo rental over the years, has radically changed in style and substance.
For the moment, the Internet is seen as the best way to go. Online marketing methods like Google Adwords, pay-per-click are noted to bring in a large chunk of revenues. However, the concern with marketing on the Internet is that, the people will find you and they'll book a car with you, you'll make the reservation. However, some individuals quickly forget who they booked, as there's quite little loyalty on this online realm.
It's important that once you make that reservation and you service the client, it's pertinent to put your clients on a mailing list and send them hard mail, send them your business card, thank you card, and try to turn them into loyal customers, as well as get them off of the Internet the next time they wish to rent a limousine.

Limousine Hire - not just for Brad and Angelina
Limousine Hire - not just for Brad and Angelina
by Jason Holt
So what's the difference between a limousine hire and a taxi? In short, I defy anybody not to mention "luxury" in a limousine hire description but, the price of luxury is coming down. Quite honestly it is a personal statement that the passenger wants more than just getting from A to B. They want to get from A to B in confident style, turn heads and enjoy a smooth ride. People have been transported in vehicles since the age of the Egyptian Pharoahs. Private hire is nothing new so the only things that have changed have been the transport medium and the level of luxury. When the first horse taxi started I'm sure there was a guy who knew that people would pay more to ride a better looking horse. When all the taxis were good-looking horses there undoubtedly was a guy who offered additionally a crushed leather saddle and a free drink. It is the nature of the best to be better than the average. From pony and traps to the latest state-of-the-art vehicles, passengers have always looked for more bang for their buck. In the last 20 years the limousine hire culture has had to redefine itself from the image of the stretch black Cadillac to meet two specifically growing markets. The first market was commerce. People don't fly business class because it gets them to their destination quicker. People fly business class because when they arrive they are ready to go, with a right frame of mind, energised etc. It's the same with car travel. A limousine won't get you there any quicker but businessmen who regularly use limousines will tell you that business starts with the journey. A safe, secure, smooth and non-distracting ride is what they are demanding. The second and newer market to evolve was tourism. Gone are the days when the package holiday tied you in to an airport transfer via a 52 seater coach. People now are much more likely to "add-on" a limousine transfer as they've saved money on the flight or have a great accommodation deal. The image of cigarette burned leopard-skin covered seats still strikes fear into me and so, I imagine, others that have suffered enough less-than-clean taxis will want to invest a bit extra in the airport transfer or for in-city transport using a hotel or private limousine hire service. Safe, secure, clean and spacious are now standard features, not optional extras. Of course, crushed leather saddles and free drinks are the norm now so look out for continuous improvements in limousine hire. Certainly Limousine companies are facing a real challenge to provide to everyone the opportunity to hire a limousine. The challenge is transforming the old concept of a limousine as bespoke transport only for the rich and famous into a professional and stylish transport service available to everyone for not much more than the cost of a leopard-skin taxi.

Make your own way with car hire
Make your own way with car hire
by Andy Adams
Typically when you rent a car you're looking for something cheap, that runs and can get you from A to B.
We tend to hire cars when on holiday and want to get around without having to cram onto a tour bus and go
to where everyone else wants to go. Having your own car on holiday can give you a sense of adventure by
being able to make your own rules and go wherever your heart desires.
When on holiday chances are you'll want to go and see all the tourist locations like museums, landmarks
and beaches all of which can normally be achieved by going on organised trips organised by holiday reps or
your hotel. By hiring a car you make the rules, no time limits, no schedule to conform to.
Car hire in a foreign country is normally relatively painless, common locations include European countries
such as Spanish and Greek islands and American holidays. In most cases a valid UK licence and your
passport are sufficient for approval for driving in a foreign country. You just need to familiarise

In some countries there are additional laws and regulations you must adhere to such as in Germany you are
legally obliged to carry a warning triangle and obviously speed limits may vary in different countries.

Save yourself a hassle, Pre-book Car Hire
Save yourself a hassle, Pre-book Car Hire
by Andy Adams
Thousands of people go on holiday per year and want to break away from the herd of tourist sheep and find their own way around; hence they hire a car and go off the beaten path in search of unspoiled views and nature. Hiring a car means that you can go anywhere whether it's to another town or to a secluded beach with no sun loungers and parasols littering the sand.
The trouble is that many of the tourist resorts have many car hire companies and it becomes hard to decide which one to take, do you go for the expensive chain company or the dubious local car dealer? In situations like this there's a good chance you will make an uninformed decision and get the first car that caught your eye.
This is dangerous due to not knowing the safety record of the car hire company and the car itself, but with the kids begging to go to the water park and wanting to get away from the crowds for some peace and quiet you may feel rushed to make a decision which could prove to be the bad choice.
In most cases the stress of this task can be eliminated by being well prepared, many Car Hire companies can be pre-booked back home in the UK prior to your holiday. By doing this you can turn up at the reputable Car Rental company when you arrive with your booking and license in hand to pick up the keys straight away.
Booking your car hire online can mean you make good savings since you can compare the differing deals on car categories suited to your needs, have you got a large family? Then you can search for people carriers for your little army! Want to drive with the wind in your hair then look up convertibles or if you really want to make a splash then perhaps you may want to fork out that little extra to get a prestige or luxury car, after all you're on holiday and you've worked hard for that week or two in the sun!
Cheap Car Hire companies are often located in major holiday resorts and countries common for holidays like the Balearic Island, France and the United States of America. If you're going on a fly-drive holiday some of these companies allow you to pick up their cars in one city and return it in another city where they have offices. So in future when planning your holiday consider booking your car hire too to save yourself some money and time when on holiday.

What You Need To Start A Limousine Rental Venture
What You Need To Start A Limousine Rental Venture
by Vanessa Doctor
Setting up a new limousine rental venture these days requires a lot of analyzing and constant, tireless planning.
With around a hundred new limousine rental firms estimated to open shop monthly, industry analysts note that despite the current economic slowdown brought about by varying factors and events, such as the slump in the domestic housing markets and credit crunch, limousine companies still thrive.
To succeed in running a limousine rental venture, there are a number of important aspects to take note, and fully consider before setting up a capital-intensive business like a limousine rental venture.
Set Up An Efficient Office Base For beginners n the limo rental business, overhead costs do matter. For starters, an operator could begin by renting smaller office space, or you could designate an area or space in your home as the head office of your operations. Have a regular phone line installed, along with voice mail service, to make it convenient for potential clients to call you back.
Try checking out also the types of vehicles available in your area, along with pricing mechanisms your competitors offer.
Try developing an idea of the perfect market niche, along with a juicy rental rate plan, one that would appeal to both upper and middle-income markets. Ensure that the office is manned by knowledgeable staff, available is open at nights and on weekends. Also ask about the necessary permits and licenses required in your area or location.
Formulate A Coherent Business Plan
Before setting up business ventures like a limo rental, A prospective entrepreneur needs to craft an effective and coherent business plan. Since having a business plan helps entrepreneurs acquire a guide, or map for effectively running their operations, prospective lending agencies also prefer that borrowers have a good one to show them.
It is wise to note that with the current trends in the domestic economy, businesses need to run efficiently, cut costs, maximize profits, and reduce their margins of error. Aside from crafting a good business plan, the budding limo rental operator also needs to to do some real-world market research, in an effort to understand the trends facing the limousine rental business.
Choose The Vehicles And Warranty Options Applicable To You
An upstart limousine rental operator has to craft plans on the direction, and target niche he or she wishes to enter and flourish. Should an operator decide to serve corporate clients and formal occasions, he should choose limousines which are applicable for more formal events, such as acquiring the Lincoln Town Car or the Cadillac Sedan De Ville. S
hould an operator choose to target the middle-income or younger segments of society, he or she may choose to consider getting a limo like a superstretched one, or get the latest SUV models like the Hummer H2,or Cadillac Escalade.
When applying for vehicle financing, try to negotiate for financing terms that allow payment terms for around three years or less, to lessen payments terms and reduce other added costs. Make sure to learn as much about the chosen vehicles as possible, along with their insurance coverages, warranties and repair options.

Driving in Spain
Driving in Spain
by chris whewell
Driving in Spain Many British visitors to Spain are put off from hiring a car, and exploring Spain for a number of reasons. Probably the one most mentioned is that, over here in Spain, we drive 'on the wrong side of the road'.
Additionally, many of the rules are different, the signs are different and the language barrier often presents problems. But with a little common sense and determination, a good holiday can become a memorable one, and nothing beats the feeling of stumbling across, and enjoying a great meal at the perfect restaurant, way off the beaten track. It's a reward for your exploration, and encompasses all we love about this sunny country.
1.Avoiding looking like a ........!
Driving on the wrong side of the road
To avoid looking a fool, firstly it is advisable to try to get into the correct side of the car.
I have lost count of the times when I have been giving someone a lift, and they have followed me to the driver's door, thinking they were getting into the passenger side.
I have also seen drivers at petrol stations sheepishly exiting the passenger side before climbing back into the driver's side. Speaking of petrol stations, diesel is 'gasoleo', and petrol is 'gasolina', lead free is 'sin plomo'. Pumps are sometimes attended, but if not, there is usually a series of buttons on the pump, marked 1 Euro, 10 Euros and 'Borrar'.
If, for instance, you want to put in 25 euros worth, before picking up the pump, press the 10 euro button twice, and the 1 euro button five times. This will automatically dispense 25 euros worth of whichever type of fuel you choose, by picking up the pump. Should you make a mistake in the quantity you require, simply press 'Borrar' (which means 'cancel') and start again.
Having successfully managing to get into the right side of the car, it is important to keep one's focus. Reaching over the right shoulder and grasping at thin air is NOT cool. Remember that, over here, the seat belt is on the wrong side too! So are the mirror, the gear knob and the handbrake! Try to avoid putting anything sharp in the driver's side door bin until you become accustomed to this, as, for a while, it will be an automatic reaction to thrust your hand into the door bin, reaching for a non-existent handbrake or gear knob.
2. Avoiding accidents!
A General Guide to 'Things to Look Out For'
Not only do they drive on the wrong side over here, but everything is metric too! Luckily, so is your speedometer, unless you drove here in your own car. (If so, please avoid barrelling down the Autovia at 120 miles an hour. Like Farenheit and Celsius, the two are different scales of measurement.)
To give you some idea, 120km/h is equivalent to 75mph, 40km is equivalent to 25 miles, a mile is 1.6 kilometres.
When in built-up areas, particularly around resorts, beware of similarly confused Brits at Zebra Crossings. You may see them blithely looking up the road (the wrong way), seeing its clear, and stepping out onto the road in front of your car. Whilst the only really safe way to avoid hitting them is for you, yourself to be driving on the left, it is not recommended, as then, the Spanish find it very confusing.
Traffic lights here can be infuriating. Stopping at the stop line painted on the road will normally mean that you are alongside the traffic light, and then can no longer see the traffic light. Sometimes, a pair of lights at a lower level can be seen, and it is those that you should watch, rather than straining your neck trying to see the other, higher lights.
Being sat at a green traffic light for more than a few nanoseconds will invariably be greeted with an impatient honk from the car behind. Also, if you see a light begin to change to red, firstly check your mirror, as it seems that in Spain, the first two or three seconds of red are still ok to go through, and you will cause some considerable alarm within the Spanish car behind, should you stop.
It is however, a great way to improve your Spanish vocabulary.
On a right-turn lane, there is often a filter arrow, which permits a right turn with caution, and a similar salutation from the car behind will greet your failure to move quickly enough.
You will also find that pedestrian crossings will have flashing lights for a short period, during which, the pedestrian has right-of-way, should they choose to take their lives in their own hands and attempt to cross.
A huge amount of road building has been carried out in Spain since joining the EU. Many motorways have been built, and the road network is excellent, (particularly, but not exclusively just the motorways), and is rarely crowded, once away from cities. Some motorways are designated 'peaje', meaning that they are toll-roads, and although the most expensive in Europe, are almost always a quicker way to get from A to B.
You may find that some Spanish drivers, particularly the older generation are unused to such fast roads, and it can be somewhat alarming to watch them pootling around, seemingly ignorant of everyone queuing behind them. It is at this point that a young Spanish driver, in a display of either lunacy or machismo, will attempt to pass everyone in the queue at high speed, blind corner approaching or not.
On major roads in order to turn left, it is often the case that you will exit firstly to the right, and wait to cross over at traffic lights, rather than be sat waiting to cross against incoming traffic whilst in the centre of the road. These junctions, signed as 'Cambio de Sentido' have been around in Spain for years, and to me, this seem eminently sensible, but it does confuse some people.
Roundabouts, the next logical step from the previous, are another dangerous area to be aware of. Roundabouts are a relatively new phenomenon to the Spanish, particularly out of cities.
Consequently, on occasion, and bearing in mind the previous method, a Spanish driver will feel that, to turn left at a roundabout, he should be in the far right lane. This has the rather disconcerting result of him trying to cut across the front of your car, and is the cause of many accidents.
I have seen the police, and driving instructors do this too, so beware!
On other occasions when turning left, neither a 'cambio de sentido', or a roundabout has been deemed necessary. Beware though, not to turn left into a side road if there is a solid white line. If it is permissible to turn left at this point, a series of dashes painted alongside the line (on your side of the road) will be evident.
3. Parking
What the '£^$&' is a Grua?
Spanish drivers are adept at what has been described as 'imaginative parking', that is, they will park absolutely anywhere, and double-parking is rumoured to be an integral part of the Spanish Driving Test. They will park wherever their vehicle happens to come to a stop, with the possible exception of a level crossing. Copy them at your peril!
If you think that the worst that can happen is a parking ticket, think again! Here in Spain, they will call a Grua, a tow-truck, which invariably tows your car to the other side of the city to the impound lot. Should you ignore this advice, upon returning to your vehicle, (or at least to where you left it), you will, after a thorough search, find a label stuck to the pavement, on a lamppost or nearby wall.
This label will explain (in Spanish) that your car has been towed, and where to go to reclaim it. This is invariably inconvenient, as you now need to find a taxi to take you to the towns impound lot, and then hand over half of your remaining holiday money (cash only, thank you) to the grinning buffoon therein.
Sure-fire ways to get towed away include:
Parking alongside kerbs that have been painted yellow Parking with wheels on the pavement Parking within a restricted area - these are signified by two signs at either end of the restricted zone, having a red crossed disc over a blue background. Parking in bays marked out in blue - these are pay-and-display bays, and a nearby machine, topped with a sign with a white 'P' on a blue background will dispense a ticket on insertion of a few coins.
4. Safety and Breakdowns
It is the law in Spain for everyone in the car to be wearing a seatbelt, and therefore, the number of seatbelts in the car corresponds to the maximum number of passengers (plus driver) allowed inside. You will be fined for not wearing a seatbelt, and you will be fined for overloading a car. Children 12 years old, or under 4'9" are not permitted to ride in front seats.
Should your car break down, everyone in the car must don a yellow reflective vest (before exiting the vehicle) and wait in a 'place of safety'. Two reflective warning triangles must be placed, one in front and one behind the vehicle, not less than 30m from the car, and visible from 100m from the car.
Failure to do so will result in you, the driver, being fined. It should therefore go without saying that when hiring a car, you should be supplied with enough reflective vests for your party, and two warning triangles by the hire company, but you will often find that they are 'missing'.
Supermarkets sell them, but I would be surprised if a determined demand from you to the car-hire company proved fruitless.
If you are required to wear glasses to drive, you must also carry a spare pair in the car.
You are required to carry a photo-style driver's license with you at all times when driving. Indeed, it is a requirement under Spanish law to always carry identification.
All in all, despite my somewhat tongue-in-cheek comments, I find that driving in Spain is much more relaxing than in the UK (Lord knows we have bad drivers there too!), and with a little care and attention to the things that are different here, you too will enjoy the experience. We at www.how2holidayspain.com wish you happy motoring!

A quick guide to car hire
A quick guide to car hire
by Chris Rowlands
For many of you the average holiday will see you perhaps hiring a car to make the most out of your trip.
This can be done after arrival by seeking one of the many car hire companies situated within your holiday resort or pre-booked in the UK.
If you plan to hire your car in the resort you should be aware of a few well know extra charges you could fall foul of:
* Full fuel tank; many resort based car hire companies will ask that you return the car to them with a full tank. If the needle is just below the full mark they will sometimes try to charge you a penalty fee and can sometimes do so even when you have filled the tank.
* You could find yourself being invoiced for repair costs for damage you did not make to the vehicle. To safeguard yourself against this possibility you should ask the car rentals company to make a note of any damage that is present on the vehicle when it is handed over to you (perhaps take pictures with a date and time stamp).
* You will usually be offered extra insurance at the time of collecting the vehicle, this is another way car hire companies seek to make extra profit and is not always necessary. Here it is best to use your judgement to decide if the level of cover they offer is really worth it.
You will usually find it cost effective to pre-book your car hire in the UK - indeed there are now a selection of comparison sites that will provide a free search for car rental offering you a selection of providers to browse through.

Car hire - the American rise
Car hire - the American rise
by Chris Rowlands
Travel related costs are expected to increase above the usual inflationary rise in America during 2008. This will potentially mean flights to and from the country and travel services such as car hire could increase by an average of 4% whereas the predicted inflationary increase is expected to fall at around 2.3%.
High oil prices mean that many travel related industries could be hit by an increase next year. The cost of air fares will most probably increase to factor this in and with already tight restrictions on the number of seats for sale things may get worse.
Many UK tourists will consider car hire during their holiday in America and it is definitely recommended if you want to see the sights and make the most out of your time - wherever you intend to stay.
In a report released by American Express the potential rise on the cost of car rental was listed as 4% although there has been some differing in opinion over this figure. The National Business Travel association of America consider 5-7% to be perhaps a more accurate figure.
So how does this affect you - the British tourist, well for starters you will find that arranging car hire upon arrival at the airport or within you resort could be between 4-7% more costly as a result.
The cost to fill up you tank will of course become more expensive with the expected and continuing rise on the base price of oil.
There are some ways you can cut the cost of your car hire this year - for starters pre-booking can save you from having to pay over inflated Airport hire car rates. You should also consider making use of one of the many travel related comparison sites. You will usually find they compare car rentals and allow you to choose from a variety of companies and packages to suit your needs and hopefully save you some money in the long run.

In any event, if you do wish to start one, and have the determination to make it in this realm, there are a number of things to consider when setting up a capital-intensive business like a limousine rental firm. Here are a few important tips in setting up a successful limo rental company.
Things To Initially Consider
If a person is planning to start a limousine rental firm, industry analysts suggest they start by researching and thoroughly planning the startup. It would be good if you write down all details in a business plan. Here are a number of aspects you need to consider:
- Choose the type of limo that is right for the business you are planning, by considering the different makes and models currently available in the market. - Think thoroughly if should you buy or lease? Should you use brand new or used limousines? More importantly, how much is your capital?. - Ensure that you acquire limousine insurance. -- Study and analyze how you are going to reach your target market and market as well as advertise the business. - Learn about how you're going to hire, train and obtain a license for your chauffeurs. - Know how to maintain your limo fleet, including parts and supplies. - Know the permits and licenses you will need. - How will you price your services? What is the ongoing rate in the market today?. - Learn about what to expect on expenses, especially with the rising cost of fuel.

Car Hire Nice - Top 4 Drives
Car Hire Nice - Top 4 Drives

Top Four Drives Nice
Eze-y Does It
The pretty medieval village of Eze can be reached within 11km of the city of Nice and offers a range of interesting cultural and historical attractions. The village has a dramatic location, perched high above the Mediterranean on a rocky hilltop. A walking tour of the village gives visitors the chance to absorb remarkable feats of engineering and architecture. First stop should be the town's 12th century castle which sits on a narrow craggy peak.
The castle was torn down during a turbulent era in the 17th century, but its attractive grounds survive to this day. Jardin Exotique is to be found in the grounds presently and offers visitors panoramic views of the coast from 429m high. The view doesn't come cheap however and a generous donation is expected.
Visitors are encouraged to sample the fragrant enterprise of the region at either Parfumerie Galimard or Parfumerie Fragonard perfumeries, both of which are situated in Eze village. The factories offer guided tours, with special discount rates available to groups. Picturesque Peillon
Heading 20km outside of Nice, you'll reach the fortified medieval village of Peillon, which is regarded by many to be the most beautiful village on the Cote d'Azur. The hill's clinging grey and white structures offer fantastic opportunities for photographs and it's well worth bringing your camera along for the journey.
The village is pedestrian-only, meaning you'll have to park your hire car at the plaza at the base of the village and make your way to the centre under your own steam. The stroll allows you to take advantage of stunning views of the village's stepped terraces and narrow winding streets.
As Peillon has not been subject to the usual tacky commercialisation, it's possible to purchase an authentic memento of your trip from the village's only gift shop 'La Maiouneta'. The shop is situated close to the fountain and sells local produce, as well as paintings and ceramic creations by local artists.
Gorge-ous Loup Gorges
The spectacular Gorges Du Loup is well worth a journey. This area of fragile natural beauty can be accessed 40km from Nice via the D2210 road, which runs along the Châteauneuf-Pré Du Lac close to nearby Grasse. Follow the D6 at the bottom of the valley at Pont-du-Loup, where, if you look upwards through the ultra narrow gorge, you'll see the town of Gourdon perched on the cliffs high above, as well as the shattered, bomb-scarred pillars of the railway viaduct which sweeps cleanly around the valley.Driving another 4km on this route, allows you to catch a glimpse of the Cascade de Courmes waterfall, spraying craggy moss-dappled boulders and leafy undergrowth in its path. The waterfall then makes a deafening 40m plunge, well worth inspecting in person. Parking places are limited so it's best to leave the car at the exit of the first tunnel. Magic Mougins
The beautiful town of Mougins is just a 25-minute drive from Nice. The journey to Mougins also takes you through fragrant Grasse, regarded as the international perfume capital.
Mougins' pretty medieval charms have long attracted artists and dignitaries to the town. Spanish artist Pablo Picasso spent the last few years of his life in Mougins and visitors to Mougins will find many local exhibitions dedicated to the artist. . It's easy to while away a few hours browsing the village's studios and galleries. The Museum of Photography in Mougins is definitely worth a look. Here you'll find a fascinating permanent collection of Picasso portraits.
Mougins is renowned for its excellent cuisine and hungry day-trippers are guaranteed to find something to silence rumbling tummies; whether you opt for fine dining at the famous Michelin starred Moulin de Mougins restaurant or simple cheap local eats from a quaint atmospheric café or patisserie.

A BRIEF HISTORY OF London Limousine Hire
Why is Limousine Rental now so popular in London and the rest of the UK, and when did it all begin ?
In 1987 when we first started providing Stretch Limousine Services in London's West End, we were located very close to Mayfair and Hyde Park. In those days there were only 7 Stretch Limos in existence in the whole of Europe and we had access to all 7 of them. This is because the owner of these 7 Limousines had his office only yards away from our own Chauffeur-Drive Car Hire office.
His Limousines were all BRAND-NEW 6-seater Cadillac Stretch Limousines and we offered to supply him with bookings from our own Client base in return for 15% commission from each hire. The manager of the Cadillac Limousine Hire company readily agreed to our suggestion on one condition: Which was that we supply the chauffeur to drive their Cadillac Limousines on our own Clients' Bookings. Well of course that was an offer that we could not refuse.
That's how it all began for us and I still remember the delight to this day of posing as the driver in these Stretch Limos and we used to get as much attention (if not more) than the actual passengers. The words Lucky Swine do come to mind !
When we were driving Stretch Limos in those early days, other road users used to give us enough respect and also used to literally give way in their cars and let us have priority over them, so that they could get a look at this very rare beast and it's occupants.
LONDON LIMOUSINES
So coming back to the question: Why is Limo Hire in London now so popular and turning over in excess of £100,000,000 per year in the UK ?
Well the main reasons are:
1. These are desirable Prestige Vehicles.
2. They have some very nice extra amenities inside them ie. TV's, DVD PLAYER, CD RADIO, SURROUND SOUND, LUXURIOUS CONFERENCE STYLE SEATING, BAR WITH DRINKS, PRIVACY, TINTED WINDOWS, LEGROOM and much more.
3. For any important occasion (Hen-Nights, Birthdays etc) you want to do something different that you don't do every day and treat a Loved One and also feel Special.
4. But we feel a big reason for the popularity of Limousine Rental is their carrying capacity together with the panache and style mentioned above. It's the Party Atmosphere that you get with 8 or 16 people all together in one place, at one time and for one purpose that makes them SO MUCH FUN !
In other words since the group of friends, relatives or associates are not split and separated into several different cheap minicabs on the way to and from their Chosen Venue, then they can all interact with each other, revel in each other's company and conversation while they relax with their favourite Drink & Music and enjoy a very comfortable ride on their Special Day.

European Car Hire part 3
European Car Hire part 3
by J Tillotson
It's been many years now since the Channel Tunnel was built, yet the novelty of driving to Europe hasn't worn off for many of us. But not everyone wants to drive halfway across Britain to keep on driving in a different country, which is where car hire firms come in useful. This is the final part of our guide to some of the more popular driving destinations throughout Europe.
Italy
Italy is an idea place to explore by car. With a range of diverse landscapes, the major towns in the country are all easily accessible by road, and provide the tourist with a smorgasbord of sights guaranteed to leave a lasting impression. The historic capital, Rome, and the watery paradise of Venice are both best explored on foot or public transport (the latter can be pricey), but car hire is essential if you want to enjoy the rest of Italy to the fullest.
Winding country roads and quaint villages transport you to another time, and no visit to Italy would be complete without a trip to Sicily and the snow-capped Mount Etna. Having a car lets you gain access to some of the hidden delights, and an air-conditioned hire car keeps you cool and comfortable during the hot summer days.
Spain
The country well known for sun, sand, sangria and...the other one, Spain has a gorgeous landscape perfect for viewing from a nice air-conditioned car. Car rental bureaux are plentiful in Spain, and because of the popularity of self-drive holidays, prices are competitive. Spanish drivers can be quite aggressive, but if you can avoid driving in the city centres, you shouldn't have any trouble.
Away from the bustling tourist-filled coastal town and major cities, the smaller fishing villages and local towns nestled in among the hills and valleys provide the holidaymaker with an ideal opportunity to experience the more sedate way of life. Spanish living is traditionally very laid back, but this quality has been lost slightly in the more built-up areas frequented by foreigners.
Whichever country you choose for your self-drive holiday, doing your homework first could save you a lot of money. It's easier to get cheap car hire if you book online, and only hire the size of car you feel you'll need. Don't be tempted to rent a bigger one, as you may end up paying much more in both rental fees and fuel.

It's been many years now since the Channel Tunnel was built, yet the novelty of driving to Europe hasn't worn off for many of us. But not everyone wants to drive halfway across Britain to keep on driving in a different country, which is where car hire firms come in useful. This continues our guide to some of the more popular driving destinations throughout Europe.
France
France is heaven for the gourmet. The abundance of fine wine, diverse foodstuff and a picturesque setting to consume them in, few can resist the appeal of our nearest European neighbour. Car hire is an easy and economical way to get around, and most of the major companies have offices there. The capital, Paris, is best explored on foot or Metro, but the outlying region is great driving country. Be careful not to drink and drive, as touring through the French countryside you will be tempted, indeed encouraged, to stop off at the various vineyards and sample the sparkling brew. But don't worry, many of these also offer lodgings for when you can't resist any more.
Most of mainland France is ideal for cruising along and sampling various towns and local delicacies, but if you want something a little more adventurous, take the ferry across to Corsica. This is an island just of the mainland, and provides hair-raising drives along steep mountain sides flanked by sheer drops. Car rental is a must on Corsica as public transport is virtually non-existent.
Germany
Neighbouring Germany is a car enthusiast's dream. The famous Autobahn has no speed restrictions, and the country boasts some of the safest roads in the world. Although public transport in Germany is good, cheap car hire is popular among tourists as the roads are so pleasant to drive on. A highly developed road network and most places easily accessible by car mean that much of Germany is open to the driver wishing to explore.
Germany seems to have something for everyone to enjoy. The magnificent architecture, the food, the Oktoberfest and the scenery make it a country not to be missed. To take full advantage of Germany, arrange to pick your hire car up in the north and make your way to the south. Most car hire firms will allow you to pick up and drop off in different locations. Winding your way through the German countryside will show you a side of it many non-driving tourists never get to see.

It's been many years now since the Channel Tunnel was built, yet the novelty of driving to Europe hasn't worn off for many of us. But not everyone wants to drive halfway across Britain to keep on driving in a different country, which is where car hire firms come in useful. Hiring a car abroad is a great way of exploring a foreign country without being hassled by other tourists or holiday reps. This is a brief guide to some of the more popular driving destinations throughout Europe.
Austria
Mozart's birthplace offers a variety of landscapes from lush forests to warm sandy beaches and from snow-topped mountains to crystal clear lakes. The major towns and cities are all linked by an extensive road network. Vienna is the place to go if you want to absorb the local culture, and is an ideal starting point on your tour of Austria. Find the car hire bureau and be off!
From Vienna head south towards the Danube River Valley and check out the impressive castles, fortresses and medieval atmosphere. For classical music fans, Mozart was born in this region, in the town of Salzburg, and tourists can visit the house he was born in. Heading west brings you to the skiing region of Austria, and the Stubai Glacier where the Olympic Winter Games have been held. Going the other way, to the east, are the salt mines which can be explored with the assistance of tour guides. Not for the claustrophobic!
Belgium
The beautiful country of Belgium could be an advertisement for car hire. Wide open roads, rolling countryside and picturesque towns tucked away just begging to be discovered all make for an ideal setting to go cruising around at your own pace. Beginning in Brussels, the capital of Belgium - and indeed of Europe itself - head west to Bruges and feast your eyes on one of the best-preserved medieval cities on the continent. For a great souvenir, head to any of the lace-making shops and see skilled craftsmen creating beautiful pieces of art with a deftness that seems like magic.
In the north of Belgium - known as Flanders - Flemish and Dutch is spoken, and most locals will also speak excellent English too. If you head further south, to Wallonia, you'll encounter more French-speaking residents, in an area steeped in history. Fairy-tale castles, deep valleys and romantic country hotels add to the stunning scenery, and a winter visit to Wallonia wouldn't be complete without a trip to Liege and the Christmas Market. If you prefer the Flanders district, Ostend also runs a Christmas Market, which in full swing looks like something from a Christmas card.
Car hire is relatively cheap in Europe, and certain firms may let you drop off in a different place to your pick-up point. This is ideal if you don't plan on staying in one place for the whole of your trip. Check with the rental firm before booking.

Car Hire in Geneva
Car Hire in Geneva
by Hannah Westfield
Venturing into Geneva is well worth the trip as much for its location as its attractions. The city of Geneva is located on the western shore of Lake Geneva, with spectacular snow-capped peaks creating a majestic panorama on all sides. The old town of Geneva is set high on a hill overlooking the Rhone River. The town is composed of a series of cobbled lanes clustered around Cathedral St Pierre a well known land mark. The nearby Place du Bourg-de-Four is the oldest square in Geneva. Formerly a Roman forum it has now become a market place. Any itinerary should include a visit to these historical places.
Geneva's attractions do not stop there. A trip down to the lake front will reveal its famous water fountain the Jet d`Eau. This is a giant, single jet fountain located in the middle of the bay. Many parks and bathing areas are also located on the shoreline. The splendors of the Alps can be seen by taking a boat trip. Don't forget to also take in the Flower Clock in the English Garden, Reformation Wall and Place Neuve.
For some a sightseeing trip would not be complete without an informative look into the past and therefore a trip to a museum is a must. Geneva offers many choices. Why not start at the acclaimed Museum of Art and History. Interested in clocks? Check out the Horology Museum. Other museums include the Red Cross Museum, the Red Crescent Museum and the Voltaire Museum.
Getting to Geneva is a breeze. With so many international organizations located in Geneva, the airport is an important transport centre for Europe and many major cities worldwide. As you would expect from such an airport, it is modern and efficient, with excellent facilities. Transport into the city is reliable and frequent but not necessarily cheap. Limo services and private taxis are available and a regular mode of transport. Switzerland's bus services are comprehensive and efficient. Actually within the city trams are an environmentally-friendly alternative.
Moving further afield, regular trains and buses run to all neighbouring countries from Geneva, with the most frequent services running to nearby France (through the Rhone valley) and Italy. Non-stop trips can be taken to Spain and UK. Swiss trains are fast and efficient but not cheap.
Many visitors may decide that renting a car will afford them a great deal of independence and of course, these car rentals at the airport are easily available. With the minimum fuss, you can pick up your waiting car and head out to explore Geneva.
If you are venturing out of Geneva by car, note that Switzerland has an excellent network of roads that are generally safe and well maintained and therefore perfect for car hire transportation. Where routes are likely to wind around mountains watch out for dangerous corners and switch backs. With regard to such routes allow plenty of time for your journey. There aren't any high speed highways. However because the scenery is generally breathtaking, travel by car at your own pace will be an extremely pleasurable way of seeing Geneva and beyond.
When hiring a car in Geneva , make sure you satisfy the requirements for the rental agreement which in Europe are usually minimum age 21 years old, hold a valid driving licence from your country (an international licence is recommended but not compulsory) and a valid credit card for payment. Remember to look for a reputable car hire company preferably on the internet where booking is easy and convenient.

BMW contract hire
BMW contract hire
by Darrell Freeman
BMW is today seen as a real quality automobile manufacturer and is commonly used as a benchmark to measure other cars against. The German manufacturer has a rich history of over 90 years and within that time as established itself as one of the major auto manufacturers in the world. In this article I will look back through BMW’s fantastic history.
A German guy called Rapp Motoren Werke, in the outer regions of Munich, first established BMW in 1913. However the initial companies core business was in producing aero plane engines and eventually Rapp left to form Bavarian Motor Works which is the BMW we know today.
It was in 1928 that BMW produced their first car at the Munich factory. The first car was the BMW Dixi and the top speed was only 50mph, a long way from the fast cars BMW produce these days. The first car was a great success and a newer version was launched in 1932 and in all over 19,000 Dixi's were produced at the companies Munich factory.
However, after the initial success times were hard for BMW in the aftermath of the World War II as all of BMW's factories had been destroyed and BMW suffered from a 3 year production ban imposed as a result that BMW produced rocks and bombs during the war. In 1951 BMW produced their first car after the World War however as most of Germany was still in a recession the model did not sell over 500.
In the intervening years BMW launched a range of other models and each was a further success on the one before. Today BMW has a range of top cars. The BMW 1 series is a very desirable car with a great range of security and safety and is considered one of the best equipped cars in the market at present.
The BMW Z4 roadster is one of the most popular contract hire cars in the United Kingdom and it is easy to see why with the superior handling and slim line design the Z4 has excelled. In the upper end of the BMW range is the BMW X3 which is a common sight on the roads of Hammersmith in London as over half of the Chelsea squad has at some time owned a BMW X3. The X3 is a real beast of a car and gives a clear sight of the road ahead.
Auto Union Finance have a range of BMW leasing deals which cover both BMW contract hire and leasing and also BMW hire purchase ranges.

Car Hire Tips
Car Hire Tips
by Nick
Before hiring a car, here are some useful tips to consider
* Always pay close attention to the car high provider's terms and conditions. Failing to do so could result in you incurring additional charges.
* Before driving the car away, check the amount of petrol in the tank. Check to see if you need to return the vehicle with a full tank of petrol. Many car hire providers will take note of the amount of petrol in the vehicle before they hire it, and they normally expect it to be returned with the same amount.
* Ensure that the vehicle you hire is suitable for your needs. For example, is it big enough to accommodate everyone including luggage.
* Keep the car hire company contact details in a safe place. You will need to contact them in the event of an emergency.
* When you collect the car you will be shown around it first. Pay close attention to any damages to the vehicle before you take it away. Pointing these out in advance will avoid the risk of you being blamed for them when you return the vehicle.
* Check over the paperwork and familiarise yourself with exactly what you have paid for i.e. taxes, insurance, charges for additional drivers etc.
* Car rental agreements normally work on a 24hour hire basis. Returning your car late could therefore incur and extra day's rental charge being added to your bill.
* Shop around for the best deals. Make the use of price comparison sites to get an idea of what costs you should be expecting and don't be afraid to negotiate on the price.

Car Hire in Spain

Hiring a car abroad provides you with the freedom to travel and explore a country at your own leisure.
Where to go? You could head to the north of Spain. The Basque country provides gorgeous lush country side and coastlines that are untainted by tourism. The greener and cooler climbs of the northern regions also provide a pleasant change to the heat of the south.
The Basque country offers a full range of leisure activities including climbing, surfing, horse-riding and canoeing. But the main attraction to the Basque country is its cuisine. The Basque cuisine is world renowned for it's quality and the city of San Sebastian in particular offers a level of culinary excellence that is unrivalled by just about any other city.
If you're after higher temperatures and warmer seas then head south to the Mediterranean coastline. Car hire pick-up points are available at both Alicante and Malaga airports.
For cheap car hire then the best time to travel to Spain is during the spring and summer months. Car rental prices are generally higher between April and October.
Things to remember Driving abroad can be very different to what you are used to, so make sure that you familiarise yourself with the rules of the road before starting your journey. Other things to consider include:
* Speed limits (most signs abroad are in kilometres per hour)
* Different road signs
* Get a decent road map
* Some countries have a zero policy towards drink driving. Make sure that whoever is driving is safe to do so

Car Hire In Australia - the ultimate guide for the UK traveler
Car Hire In Australia - the ultimate guide for the UK traveler
by Samuel Philp
As a casual tourist you wanted to do was laze around on the beach and soak up the sun. You thought that lolling about, shopping and eating would be fun and you would have the time of your life.
Now all that rest and relaxation has gotten boring and all you want to do is gun an engine and zoom down a wide open space without any disturbances. Australia offers numerous opportunities to born drivers who want to feel the wind in their hair.
The easiest way to make the most of your trip is to look for car hire in Australia as it really opens up the whole country to you. But if you want to make sure that your experience with car hire in Australia doesn't go awry I have prepared some easy tips for you to follow so you trip and experience is positive experience. Tips for UK Drivers in Australia:-
1. Since the Australians drive on the same side as the Britons (the sensible side) you don't need to worry about driving on the wrong side of the road. The car hire in Australia will probably breathe a sigh of relief when they hear that you are a British citizen, as driving in Australia is a lot easier than driving throughout Europe and the British Ilse.
2. You will need your passport for car hire in Australia; you also need to have a valid driver's license in order for you to actually go somewhere. International driver's licenses are easy attained from your local motoring body or organization
3. Although roundabouts are a bit confusing, you will find that they are incredibly handy for making continually needed U-turns. People have been trapped in roundabout for hours on end while they try to figure out what exit to take, so best to carry a map or ask the car hire in Australia for help if required. Or even better ask you car hire company about getting a GPS system in your hire car.
4. Although roundabouts are common in town. If there is more than one lane keep the car you hire in Australia to the left if turned left or going straight through, use the right lane if turning right. Indicate left or right on entry as you would for an intersection.
5. On dirt roads or single track roads in the outback drive in the centre of the road but slow down and pull to the left if there is on-coming or overtaking traffic.
6. Always take A LOT of water with you when you are driving in Australia, getting stuck without water in the Australian outback is a lethal situation.
7. Speed limits vary but are typically 50km in town and 100km on the open road or 110km on the freeway. The open speed limit in the Northern Territory is 130km (until recently it was unlimited). Near schools you will see 40km limits during school opening/closing times, school terms only. Keep a close eye on this as the speed camera operators find it very easy to meet their quota by setting up shop near schools.
8. Remember that not all cars are automatics in Australia, though they are becoming more common, so it might be an idea to keep this in mind when looking for car hire in Australia.
9. Central Melbourne has the notorious hook rule on a few central city intersections. The central city has an extensive tram network with trams running down the middle of the road and having right of way over cars. When you want to turn right at one of these intersections you move to the leftmost lane and wait until the light turns red against you and then you have the right away in front of the traffic driving straight thru on your left. It is very weird but does in practice work surprisingly easily.
10. Scarily on narrow inner city streets you will share the single lane with trams as well and yes, you give way to both the tram and passengers walking across your path to alight or enter the tram. We hope that some of these tips will make your experience driving around Australia more pleasant and memorable. Just remember that it is a truly massive country and car hire in Australia is really the only way to get the freedom that you will need to see all of the sights that appeal to you. AussieCasino07.

Hire a car and Fly away
Hire a car and Fly away
by J Tillotson
If you need to get away but want something a little bit different, why not think about a Fly-Drive holiday? It's a great way to experience a country at its best, and see some amazing scenery that may not otherwise be accessible.
A Fly-Drive holiday is generally suited to the more adventurous, and above all confident drivers. It takes a lot of guts to drive on what you perceive as the wrong side of the road! Add to that the unknown quantity of foreign driving, and it can be a nerve-wracking experience.
But if you feel you can cope with all this, then a Fly-Drive may well be an ideal holiday for you. You have the freedom and independence of being able to go wherever you wish, and really explore the country of your choosing.
With it's wide-open highways and beautiful scenery, America is one of the most popular destinations for a driving holiday. Car hire is relatively cheap, as is the price of gasoline, and there are plenty of motels and roadside diners scattered along any given route.
When choosing a car rental firm, bear in mind that if you're planning on driving great distances and covering a lot of the country, it would be easier to find a company that allows you to drop off at a different location than your pick-up point. If you pick up in Texas and plan on driving up to Oregon, you don't want to have to cut your holiday short and double back on yourself in order to return the car in Texas.
But car hire isn't the only thing to consider in a driving holiday. If you are planning on a cross country trek, you'll need to book flights in and out of different airports. Remember to familiarise yourself with the local road signs, which you can do on the internet, and also any road rules which differ from the ones in Britain.
There are some companies which can organise a complete fly-drive package for you, which will include the cost of flights and car hire, and any particular stops along the way. However, these usually follow a set itinerary which may not suit your tastes, so you could even book the whole holiday yourself, making it a truly unique getaway.

Car Rental Tips for Traveling in Spain
Car Rental Tips for Traveling in Spain
by Carlos
Historically known for its strategic position, Spain is the door to the Mediterranean and separated from Africa by only 14 km of water, which has made it into the cradle of numerous civilizations throughout history. Over 300 days of sun during the year make this country the third vacation destination on the planet. This is why it is so well connected throughout the world.
Once in Spain the best way to get to know its wonderful little corners is renting a car, which will help you discover the beautiful landscapes this country has reserved for you and will also make uncovering uncharted ones easy.
Here we provide a few keys to remember when renting a vehicle in Spain.
1. Plan ahead
It's advisable to bring along a travel guidebook of the city you're traveling to as well as directions for arriving at your place of lodging. We also advise getting familiar with the car hire companies in the area, and reserving a vehicle beforehand if possible, for various reasons:
A - Upon arrival at the airport you will find a multitude of car rental companies at your disposal, with long lines to make reservations, to decide which car is the best fit, and to pick up and drop off the car. If you have already reserved ahead of time you cut out a lot of the formalities and will avoid long lines.
B - There are companies which hide taxes and extras behind attractive prices. Other 'pirate companies' charge in advance and come vacation time there is no car or not the one you arranged for.
It is recommended to look at other clients' opinions on the Internet, which can be helpful and guide you when choosing between one company and another.
2. Book online
After picking a car company to book with, look closely at certain items such as:
- Type and prices of cars offered
- Allowed mileage
- Place(s) for picking up and dropping off the vehicle
- Fuel policy
- Insurance, etc.
We advise that once you finish reserving online and receive the confirmation, read carefully and make sure it lines up with what you contracted. Print it for taking it with you when you pick up the car to avoid any possible confusion, and keep it until the rental period is up.
3. Double check the total price including extras
Many rental companies don't inform the client about extras when giving the vehicle price total, and the client ends up with an unpleasant surprise when it's time to sign the contract. To avoid this it's wise to contact the rental company and ask all the necessary questions so that the final payment price is clear. Check what the insurance covers, the price of possible secondary or extra insurance for a total coverage, as well as their fuel policy (possible charge for fuel at pickup, and how much fuel the vehicle has to have upon delivery).
4.Mileage
Some companies offer unlimited mileage, while others only have the option of a restricted travel distance, paying extra for exceeding the number of kilometers in the contract. Check this with the various car hire companies to see which best fits your plans.
5. Taxes
You must keep in mind that depending where you reserve the vehicle, a series of additional taxes may be charged on top of the regular price. You should always check this with your car rental company.
6. Timetables
Keep in mind that not all companies have 24 hour schedules, which makes it crucial to find out the schedule of the company you're hiring your vehicle with for both pickup and delivery.
Whatever car hire company you choose, read and cautiously review the contract terms, since they can vary from one company to another.

Things to Consider When Hiring a New York City Limousine
Things to Consider When Hiring a New York City Limousine
by Chris Robertson
Finding a Manhattan limousine service in New York City isn't difficult, but selecting the right company for your needs can be a challenge. After all, there are any number of occasions that might call for using a New York chauffeured limousine service, and you want to ensure that the company you choose is equipped for your occasion.
In the corporate arena, many businesses find it useful to have a New York City limousine on retainer. Busy executives welcome the opportunity to work while on the road, and visiting VIPs appreciate the luxury and thoughtfulness of a car and driver. Limousine services are also extremely useful and cost-effective in shuttling staff members to and from JFK, LaGuardia and Newark airports.
A New York City limousine is also perfect for a night on the town. Whether you live locally or are visiting the Big Apple, having a luxurious limousine available to take you to the theater, to clubs, or even to sporting events makes any evening more relaxing and enjoyable. Similarly, prom night and graduation night call for transportation that is both dependable and special, and a limousine is the perfect backdrop for those special nights.
If you're planning your wedding in New York City, you'll need to book a limousine company that has experience in providing service and transportation for wedding parties and their guests. Look for a company that offers wedding packages so you won't have to worry on your big day.
Aside from considering the occasion, you'll also want to ensure that the limousine service you choose has the type of fleet vehicles that you need. For example, a Lincoln Town Car or a Mercedes S550 Sedan might be appropriate if three people are going to the airport, but only a 20-passenger stretch Hummer will do for prom night. Likewise, if you are an event planner or corporate meeting planner, you may want to hire a chauffer and a limo van or limo bus that can accommodate six, fourteen, or even nineteen passengers. For companies with security concerns, it may be critical to ensure that the New York City limousine service has armored vehicles.
While cost shouldn't be a primary consideration, you should be aware of your options and of special packages the limousine company might offer. For example, the cost of a sedan is usually less than that of a stretch limousine, and the cost of a six-passenger stretch limousine is typically slightly less than a ten-passenger stretch limo. On the other hand, the company may offer a three-hour theater special or a special rate that includes a free bar on trips to Yankee Stadium or Shea Stadium.
Keep in mind that most New York City limousine companies have an hourly minimum for sedan and limousine rentals. While some companies have a four-hour minimum, you should be able to find one that offers three- or two-hour minimums. In May or June, however, prom, graduation, and wedding season can make it difficult to find services with less than ten-hour minimums.
There's little doubt that traveling in a limousine is traveling in style. Yet few people know that a sedan or limousine service can be an affordable luxury. So choose your company wisely, but by all means enjoy yourself!
